==House Shape, Quality, and Density==
As villager homes improve, their structure and materials change. At low quality, homes are made of wattle and daub with thatched roofs and woven wattle fencing. Medium quality homes are half-timbered with roof shingles and stone fencing. Once at high quality, homes are of masonry and half-timbered construction with roof shingles and elegant stone fencing.
 
The overall layout of the house is determined when it is first built. This shape will remain consistent throughout its upgrades, following the boundary indicated by its fence. While low and medium density houses have similar footprints, the high density version of the same house will fill out the fence boundary almost entirely.

Houses are procedurally generated.Villagers will select an overall shape depending on the available Residential space. Low and medium density houses will be destroyed if [[decorations]] or [[buildings]] are placed within their fence boundary, but high density houses will adjust their shape around these items.
