The Castle Keep is a sub-building of the Castle. It is unlocked in tier 1 on the Kingdom path of the Progression tree for the cost of 25 Gold Coins.png Gold Coins. This sub-building allows the player to form a Castle Company. Combatants in Castle Companies start at the rank of Militiaman and may be promoted.

The Castle Keep is modular and can therefore be expanded and decorated using the common building parts of the Castle, unique parts for Company buildings (see Castle) and its own unique building parts. Adding a Command Post increases the size of the Company from 5 to 10; apart from this, expanding the sub-building does not affect capacity.
