Territory is the range of the map which is owned by the village. It defines the area in which buildings can be constructed, zones defined and villagers can work within. A single territory is a hexagonal area of the map.
Managing Territory
On starting a new game, one of a set number of locations must be selected. This will effectively become the 'center' of the village. Once this has been obtained all new territory must be adjecent to an owned section of the map and can be purchased for 125 gold coins. For each territory owned there is a maintenance cost that must be paid monthly and rises per new territory as the village becomes bigger. The territory menu can be selected by clicking on the flag icon found on the bottom HUD.
