Brush

The Brush in Foundation is used to paint Zones. It is one of the player's major tools for management of their Settlement and has two modes, square □ and circle/round ○. Both global zones such as the Residential Zone and Forbidden Zone, and per-building zones such as the Crop Field and Reforestation Zone, are painted with the brush.

The brush size is changed with both the mouse scroll wheel and the keyboard keys. When the [ALT] ⎇ button is held pressed down, the size can be incremented by one unit per scroll wheel scroll/click.

Brush size ranges through 25 sizes. The minimum size is zero (0), while the maximum size is twenty-four (24). The chart below demonstrates the minimum (0) size, half-way to maximum (12) size, and maximum (24) size.
