The '''wheat farm''' is a [[Building#Food|Food Building]] in ''[[Foundation]]''. Farmers plant and harvest {{Item|resource=wheat}}, which is then taken to a [[Windmill]] or [[Granary]] by transporters. As a basic food production building, it produces a [[Resources#Food_and_Drink|food material]] and is best-suited to employing [[Serf|serfs]]. Wheat is used to produce {{Item|resource=bread}} and {{Item|resource=beer}}.

It produces [[Wheat|wheat sheaves]] from a [[Crop Field]]. The field '''must be painted''' before farmers will work it.
The first farm that will become available to the village, the wheat farm is the first step towards the provision of [[bread]] and with further village growth, [[beer]].


Once construction has been completed it is possible to employ farmers, however they will not be able to farm the land until a crop field has been designated via the paint crop field option in the building's overview screen.
==Crop Field==
The crop field zone is required for the farm to function. The player must designate the field zone via the ''Paint Crop Field'' button in the building's overview screen. Each farm's field is exclusive to its farmers, and fields from other farms cannot overlap.
The minimum ideal field size is indicated in-game, but can also be measured via [[Brush]] size.
