Progress is the fifth tab in the book and allows for additional technologies and capabilities to be unlocked. A core part of progression is prosperity, splendor and influence: each being a mark of the overall power of the village.

Overview
Progression has five core sections: Common Path, Labor, Kingdom, Clergy and Edicts & Privileges. with the exception of the latter, each tier within the tree depends on prosperity and for the Labor, Kingdom and Clergy paths, splendor with the relevant estate.

Prosperity
As implied by the name, prosperity is an indicator of how prosperous the village is overall. The break down of prosperity can be seen in the Common Path tab. Influences to prosperity are:
* Wealth: Highest monthly profit to date.
* Territory: The total number of territories the village has.
* Commerce: Availability and level of trade available.
* Population: A combination of the number of villagers and their status.
* Splendor: The level of splendor produced by relevant buildings.
* Beautification: How beautiful the village is.

Splendor is the level of prestige with one of the three governing parts of the village. Acquiring splendor in each of the three sections allows for additional buildings to be built within the village. The earning of tokens for each splendor group can be done from the completion of monk and envoy quests.
In many of the above, natural growth will lead to an increase in prosperity; more villagers and territory will result in an increase by default, adding a new treasury to hold more gold to the manor house will improve the splendor rating.
