Hospitium

The Hospitium is a sub-building of the Monastery. It is unlocked in tier 2 on the Clergy path of the Progression tree for the cost of 5 Clergy Influence. When this building is constructed and staffed, it acts as accommodation for Visitors to the Monastery, such as pilgrims, wandering monks, the Steward of the Bishop, and the Abbess. If Visitors' Needs are consistently satisfied they will leave in a happy mood, and will leave gifts of resources or coins in the Hospitium, which are then automatically transported to the city's Monastic Granges, Warehouses and Granaries if there is an unfilled assigned slot for that resource.

All sub-buildings of the Monastery are staffed automatically by Monastics that the player has devoted to the Monastery, rather than being assigned directly by the player. The optimum rank for the Hosteller role is Brother/Sister.

The Hospitium is modular and can therefore be expanded and decorated using only the common building parts of the Monastery. Expanding this building increases the number of Hostellers that can be employed and the visitor capacity of the building. It has no unique building parts.
